Organisers have revoked the accreditation granted four Russian journalists to cover the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics.
This was disclosed by the Russian news agency TASS, and that no reasons were given.
Before the Olympics, tensions ran high between Russia and other sporting countries.
Ahead of the Games, there were complaints from the Russian Foreign Ministry that journalists who had applied for accreditation did not get it.
Meanwhile, French Police have widened investigation after an Australian woman was allegedly gang-raped in Paris.
A 25-year old (name withheld) reported that she sought shelter in a kebab shop located in the Pigalle district where she was gang-raped.
CCTV footage showed her dress partially torn.
Owing to the rape incident, the Australian Olympic Team chief, Anna Meares has reportedly asked the contingent to be vigilant.
Meares specically urged the athletes to take extra care during the Paris Games amid heightened security concerns.
