The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, is celebrating 5 years since he ascended the throne and became the 51st and current traditional ruler of the Yoruba kingdom of Ile-Ife.
Oba Adeyeye who wrote on his social media page acknowledged that the five years journey has been a journey of Grace and guidance of the Almighty.
“Yesterday marked 5 years that I ascended the Throne of my forbearers. It has been a journey of grace through the guidance of the Almighty”, he wrote.
He was proclaimed as Ooni in 2015, holding the regnal name Ojaja II succeeding the deceased Oba Okunade Sijuwade.
Oba Adeyeye had recently welcomed his first child with his wife, Olori Naomi Silekunola and named him after his predecessor, Adesoji Aderemi.
