Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly in talks with Tottenham over a sensational return to North London after just six months with French juggernauts Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentine was relieved of his duties at Spurs in November 2019 after spending five years with the Lily Whites.
However, Sky Sports claimed the 49-year-old is in London holding talks with chairman Daniel Levy and Co as he is unhappy in Paris and would love a second spell at Tottenham.
In the wake of Pochettino’s dismissal, Spurs went on to hire Jose Mourinho but the Portuguese was fired last month ahead of the Carabao Cup final with Ryan Mason hired as interim boss until the end of the 2020-21 season.
Levy seemed to have regretted his move after he admitted to colleagues that sacking Pochettino was the worst mistake of his career.
Harry Kane could stay on?
While the 51-year-old is now hoping to reinstate Poch at the helm, there could be a gleam of hope in convincing their £150million-rated striker Harry Kane to stay.
Manchester City, United and Chelsea are all keen on signing the 27-year-old – who is itching to quit the club in order to finally win some silverware.
Pochettino is under contract in the French capital until the end of next season. But his Paris adventure has seen him scoop the French Super Cup and Coupe de France since joining PSG.
A treble was in sight no doubt, but Lille – who started the season on a front foot piped the Parisians to the Ligue 1 title on the final day.
In Pochettino’s first spell at Tottenham, the current PSG manager led the team to their first ever appearance in the Champions – where they lost to eventual winners and Premier League rivals Liverpool.
