Zainab Booth, a popular Kannywood actress, is dead.
Her death was announced by Kannywood’s Ali Nuhu on his verified Facebook Page.
The actress died on Thursday after a brief illness.
She was born to a Fulani mother and a Scottish father.
Zainab, whose two children are also Kannywood stars – Maryam Booth and Amude Booth – will be buried after janaza (funeral prayers) at her Court Road residence at 8am today (Friday, 2nd July, 2021).
“With the deepest heart, I announced the demised of Hajiya Zainab Booth. The Jana’iza prayers will hold on Friday at her residence, opposite Premiere Hospital in the morning,” Ali Nuhu wrote.
Also confirming the incident, Umar Booth told the BBC that his mother died at the age of 61, adding that she left behind four children (himself, Amude, Maryam and Sadiya) and two grandchildren.
