One of the surviving Premier League clubs, Nottingham Forest, have confirmed the extension of contract for Nigeria’s Super Eagles defender Ola Aina.
Aina, 27, has enjoyed an impressive first season at the City Ground, after joining the club on a free transfer last summer.
Reacting to the new deal offer, Aina said, “I’ve been really happy with my time spent here at Forest and the fans have been great.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
He joined Forest from Torino.
In all, the Nigerian international made 22 appearances for Forest in the 2023/24 season.
Aina scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 home win over Aston Villa, while also reaching the final of the Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
He was also named in the Team of the Tournament for 2023 AFCON.
