Paris Saint-Germain have parted ways with their German coach Thomas Tuchel just hours after Wednesdays 4 – 0 win over Strasbourg.
Tuchel, who took over the Ligue 1 side in June 2018, winning two league titles, the French Cup and French League Cup had a contract with the Paris based club which was set to expire at the end of this season.
He also led the French Champions to their first ever Champions League final last season before falling 1 – 0 to eventual winners Bayern Munich in a keenly contested encounter.
PSG are currently third in Ligue 1, a point behind leaders Lyon, while they are also through to the last 16 of the Champions League, where they will face Barcelona.
Former captain of the French side, Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with the PSG job in recent months.
