Paris Saint-Germain President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi says Kylian Mbappe “can’t do anything else but stay” after Lionel Messi joined the club.
Messi joined PSG on a two-year contract after his deal with Barcelona expired this summer.
The Argentine’s inclusion in the team which already parades Mbappe and Neymar in the frontline, will bolster PSG Champions League quest this season.
Mbappe, however, has been linked with a move away following Messi’s arrival – particularly as he is into the final year of his contract.
But Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: “Well I think everybody knows the future of Kylian, people from Paris and the players.
“He is really a competitive player. He wants to win, he wants to win trophies, he said it in public.
“He wanted a competitive team and I think we have got the most competitive in the world. So there is no excuse for him now. He can’t do anything else but stay.”
