Former Nigeria’s Super Eagles captain Sunday Oliseh has been appointed into the FIFA technical expert team for the 2022 FIFA World Cup scheduled for Qatar.
This is even as Nigeria won’t be part of this year’s soccer mundial.
Oliseh’s appointment happened one month after he resigned as the Manager of German 4th division side SV 19 Straelen due to inconsistent results.
With about 50 days to the World Cup kickoff, FIFA has announced its five-man technical expert team with former Juventus of Italy midfielder on the list.
Reacting to the development, Oliseh was excited about the appointment as he will be working with the highly rated Arsene Wenger and former German international Jurgen Klinsmann.
He said, “Extremely honoured to have been appointed by FIFA as a Technical Expert for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
“In the privileged company of “Sir” Arsene Wenger, Jurgen Klinsmann and 3 others. Work started last night.”
The German-based tactician had coached Super Eagles.
