The Sultan of Sokoto his eminence Muhammad Saad Abubakar has declared Thursday the thirteenth of May as the first day of Shawwal, 1442AH and the day of Edil Fitir.
In a statement by the chairman advisory committee on the religious affair, sultanate council Sokoto state, Prof. Sambo Wali Junaidu says this followed a report of none sighting of the moon by the committee.
His eminence Muhammad Saad Abubakar felicitates with the Nigerian Muslims and wish them Allah’s guidance and blessings.
