Barcelona continued their good start to the US pre-season tour as they secured a narrow 1-0 victory over arch-rivals Real Madrid in Las Vegas.
A stunning strike from Raphinha was ultimately the difference between the sides after the ex-Leeds star found the top corner from 25 yards midway through the first half.
Barcelona had started the game as favorites, according to bookmakers following the thrashing of Inter Miami.
Marquee signing Robert Lewandowski played the first 45 minutes. However, it was Raphinha who turned out to be the difference maker again, coming up with the only goal of the game after having scored once and assisted twice in the previous friendly.
It was Real Madrid’s first friendly of the 2022/23 campaign – their first match since winning the Champions League.
They face Club America and Juventus while they’re in the USA.
They then face Eintracht Frankfurt in the European Super Cup on August 10 before they kick off their La Liga campaign away to Almeria.
