Obinna Ogbonna’s lawyer, Pauline Rawsterne has rubbished claims linking the West Ham United star to an alleged rental scam, alongside Crystal Palace ace Wilfred Zaha.
It would be recalled that The Sun had in December 2021 published a report about the duo being involved in a business which appears to have illegally sub-let flats — leaving tenants to face eviction.
However, Rawsterne confirmed to The Heritage Times that the news was ‘completely untrue’, thus, it has since been removed from their website following a legal action by the 33-year-old centre-back.
Ogbonna, who was born to Nigerian parents won 13 caps for Italy national team and was part of the Azzurri squad that finished as runners up at the 2012 European Championship.
Prior to his move to West Ham in 2015, Ogbonna had stints at Torino and giants, Juventus were he won the Serie A title twice, including the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana.
