Liverpool goal poacher Mohamed Salah has emerged as a top transfer target for Spanish League defending champions Real Madrid this month.
The Egyptian forward has been in top form for the Reds since he joined them from Roma in the summer of 2017. His exploits have seen him win back-to-back EPL golden boots among several other individual and collective silverware.
However, despite his deep form this campaign, Los Blancos are back on his trail having shown interest in the 28-year-old previously.
Though his current deal with the Anfield outfit expires in 2023, it is unsure if the Reds would allow their winger to leave anytime soon.
Salah was in action when the Merseyside team suffered a setback in their title defence following their 1-0 defeat to Southampton in their first game of 2021.
The defeat meant Jurgen Klopp’s men remain joint league leaders with Manchester United who have played fewer games less so far.
According to Daily Star quoting talkSPORT, Real have made the former Chelsea attacker their number one transfer target as he enters the final two years of his contract.
The publication claims they might agree to sell Salah in a bid to fund Jadon Sancho’s deal this transfer window.
Meanwhile, Salah said earlier this season: “Madrid and Barcelona are top clubs. “We never know what is going to happen in the future, but right now I’m focused on winning the Premier and the Champions League again with my club.
“Of course, I want to break records here and, I repeat, every record in the club, but everything’s in the hands of the club.”
Salah currently sit at the top of the Premier League’s top scorers chart with 13 goals but the likes of Son Heung-min, Jamie Vardy and the rest are closely chasing him for the position.
