Cristiano Ronaldo’s earns an astonishing £28m-a-year wages more or equal to the entire squad bill for four Serie A teams, according to stunning reports.
The 35-year-old Portuguese, who left Real Madrid in 2018, is believed to be earning around £540,000-a-week at Juventus.
The Juventus forward’s wages put him miles ahead of any other earner in Serie A.
Serie A sides Udinese, Hellas Verona, Crotone and Spezia Calcio all have a squad bill equal to or less than Ronaldo’s staggering yearly wages, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports.
The Italian newspaper claims Ronaldo’s teammate Matthijs de Ligt is the second-highest earner on a £7.2m-a-year salary, with the former Ajax star pocketing £138k-a-week in Turin.
Outside of Juventus’ squad, the highest earner in Serie A is Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
The 27-year-old Belgium international, who left United in a £74m move to Inter in 2019, is earning £6.8m at the Italian club.
