Romelu Lukaku has eclipsed legendary Brazilian star Ronaldo’s goal record for Inter Milan with 13 games left to be played this season.
The Belgian ace joined the San Siro giants in 2019 from Manchester United for £73million and since then, the striker has been in an impressive form.
Lukaku has scored a staggering 60 goals in 86 appearances for Antonio Conte’s side, who are on the verge of lifting their first Serie A title since 2010.
The 27-year-old had scored 34 times in 51 games last campaign and his match winner against Bologna on Saturday took his tally this season to 26 in 35 matches.
This means the former Manchester United and Everton goal poacher has broken the Brazilian’s record in just two seasons.
Ronaldo moved to Inter in 1997 from Barcelona where he scored 47 goals. He managed 59 goals for the Serie A giants – but did so in 99 matches across five injury-hit years.
