Portuguese captain Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first men’s player to score 900 goals in official matches.
Ronaldo who currently plies his trade at Al Nassr achieved this milestone in Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Croatia.
The former Manchester United ace made a big claim after scoring the 900th goal of his career in Portugal’s 2-1 over Croatia in Lisbon on Thursday.
The 39-year-old tapped home from point-blank range from Nuno Mendes’ perfect cross.
The former Real Madrid man became the first player to score an impressive 900 goals.
Speaking after the match against Croatia, Cristiano Ronaldo said (via Fabrizio Romano): “900 goals seems like any other milestone, but only I know how hard it is to work every day to score your 900th goal.
“It’s a unique milestone in my career. I don’t break records… they haunt me!”
