President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame arrived in Seychelles on Wednesday to attend Seychelles’ National Day parade as the guest of honour.
President Kagame who was received by President Wavel Ramkalawan in Victoria noted that both countries are driven by a common aspiration to improve the quality of life for citizens of both nations.
According to President Kagame, both nations must work hand -in -hand with partners in the region and beyond.
Upon arrival, President Kagame held a closed-door meeting with his host President Wavel Ramkalawan before joining members of both delegation for discussion focused on strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In what promises to be a momentous diplomatic occasion, President Kagame has been accorded the high distinction of also being the Guest of Honour at this year’s National Day Parade, further underscoring the importance of this visit.
Not only will Kagame be a special attendee at the National Day parade, he will also be engaged in various official activities during his stay in Seychelles.
This visit will mark Kagame’s second official journey to Seychelles, a beautiful country located in the western Indian Ocean. His first encounter with the island nation took place in August 2018, when he made a private visit and met with then-President Danny Faure for diplomatic discussions.
Kagame who is accompanied by the First Lady, Jeannette Kagame,will be in Seychelles until July 2.
