Immediate past governor of Bayelsa State Seriake Dickson and three others have been sworn in as senators of the federal republic of Nigeria and one of them is a former state Governor.
Seriake Dickson was sworn in as senator, representing Bayelsa West, while the three others are Cleopas Moses representing Bayelsa Central, Senator Nora Ladi Daduut representing Plateau South and Michael Adetokunbo Abiru representing Lagos East.
Senator Nora Ladi Daduut and Senator Adetokunbo Abiru were sworn in to replace Late Senator Bayo Osinowo; and Senator Ignatius Longjan.
Delivering his remarks after the inauguration ceremony, Senate President Ahmed Lawan urged Nigerians to support the legislature to ensure that they make laws that would be of immense benefit to the entire country.
He went on to assure Nigerians of the ninth senate’s commitment to working in a bipartisan manner to ensure a speedy development of the Economy.
