After staging a historic comeback in the first leg at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, coach of the Sierra Leonean national side, John Keister has admitted that his side is now under pressure to get a good result against the Super Eagles.
The Sierra Leoneans pulled an impressive display to overturn a 4 goal deficit to draw level at half time.
While, the team prepares to stage a repeat of the 2001 scene, when the Eagles crashed landed in Freetown following a 1 – 0 defeat, Keister, who was part of that team has stated that his boys must now complement on their efforts following the draw.
Keister insists that his side’s performance in the first leg was no fluke and they are now under pressure to beat the three-time AFCON champions.
“We’re going to be under pressure. We will be home under pressure to get result as we have learnt a lot from the first leg. We will approach the second leg differently.
Also speaking on his side’s chances of progressing, Keister noted, “We want to take one game at a time. I don’t want to say where we will be, I think that will be disrespectful to other nations in the group. We want to concentrate on our own business.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will be without striker Victor Osimhen who has returned to his base in Italy after he suffered an injury during the first leg.
