Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho appeared to have taken a swipe at Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes and his penalty record.
The Portuguese midfielder has continued from where he stopped last season in terms of his conversion rate on penalties.
The former Sporting Lisbon star has scored six of his seven spot-kicks this season in all competitions for the Red Devils.
The 25-year-old is currently United’s top scorer in the Premier League with 11 goals with five of his goals coming from the penalty.
Tottenham scored from the spot through Harry Kane in their 3-0 win over Leeds United and Mourinho took a swipe at his compatriot in a post-match interview.
Express UK quoted the Spurs boss: “Some players score ten goals a season on penalties. “I’m not speaking about Harry Kane by the way.”
It was Kane’s third goal from a penalty spot out of his ten goals of the season as helped propel Tottenham to third on the Premier League table behind United and Liverpool.
