South Africa has remained on top in the men’s basketball ranking in Africa.
This is after World Basketball body, FIBA, released its latest ranking.
In the ranking, South Sudan, Coted’Ivoire, Angola, Tunisia, Egypt, Nigeria, Cape Verde, Senegal, Cameroon and Guinea are placed second to 10th positions respectively.
Nigeria’s D’Tigers low ranking is necessitated by their recent slump in form and poor performances.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the just concluded 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France.
The Nigerian team have now garnered 299.7 points to drop four places to 42nd in the world.
However, Nigeria’s Women team have continued to blossom beyond the continent with their performance at just concluded Olympics in Paris, unlike the men.
