Tottenham has confirmed the appointment of Ryan Mason as an interim manager until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old’s appointment came after Jose Mourinho was sacked on Monday.
The following Hull City star has been coaching at the club since being forced to retire through injury in 2018.
Mason’s first game in charge is a Premier League clash with Southampton on Wednesday before leading his boyhood club out at Wembley for Carabao Cup final.
Spurs Chairman Daniel Levey said: ” We have great belief in this squad and talented players.”
“We have a cup final and six premier league games ahead of us and we shall now focus all our energies on achieving a strong finish to this season.”
Chris Powell and Nigel Gibbs will assist Mason. While former Spurs defender Ledley King stays on as first team coach and erstwhile goalkeeper Michel Vorm returns to the club as goalkeeping coach.
