Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly on the verge of appointing Antonio Conte as Jose Mourinho’s successor in the wake of his departure from Inter Milan.
Despite leading Inter to their first Serie A title in over a decade last season, Conte is on the lookout for a new job after stepping down from his Nerazzurri post at the end of the campaign.
The former Chelsea boss has unsurprisingly been linked with the vacant hotseat at Tottenham, although he is believed to have laid out a list of conditions for the club to meet before he takes the reins.
Now, talkSPORT claims that the Italian is primed to return to the English capital with Spurs, who are ‘set to appoint’ him as their new manager soon.
The same outlet reports that former Juventus director of football Fabio Paratici will also link up with Conte at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, as Daniel Levy’s search for a permanent successor for Mourinho finally nears an end.
Conte won one Premier League title and one FA Cup during his successful stint with Chelsea between 2016 and 2018, and he previously worked with Paratici during his three-year spell at Juve.
