As violent clashes continue for a fifth day in the centre of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, thousands of residents are fleeing the city in fear.
With explosions ringing out across the city this morning, civilians who are trapped in their homes have grown increasingly desperate for safety.
Paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have been seen driving around the city in armoured vehicles and pick-up trucks, while army jets overhead continue to fire missiles at RSF targets.
Reports from eyewitnesses indicate that the streets around the defence ministry and airport are littered with bodies.
Foreign embassies and the United Nations are mobilizing to evacuate their staff from the country as soon as possible.
The UN reports that the death toll has reached 200 people, and aid agency compounds have been overrun by fighters.
Efforts to mediate between rival generals vying for control of the country have been put on hold as the leaders of Kenya, Djibouti, and South Sudan are unable to enter Sudan due to the ongoing violence.
The situation in Khartoum remains extremely volatile and uncertain, with no end to the fighting in sight.
