The entire Nigerian delegation to Libya meant to prosecute the matchday four of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier are back to Nigeria.
Heritage Times HT reports that the team first arrived the ancient City of Kano on Monday evening from Al Abraq Airport where the team were subjected to maltreatment for 16 hours.
An official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) told jounalist that the team’s first landing point in Kano was to enable the ValueJet chartered aircraft refuel before heading to Abuja later on Monday.
He said the plane will also move to Lagos, its last destination.
The flight had to return before scheduled time on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning after the Super Eagles boycotted their AFCON match due to evil treatment by the Libyan government officials.
Also confirming their arrival, Leverkusen forward , Victor Boniface, then posted via his X handle.
He wrote, “Back in Nigeria, next of kin, you try ooo.”
