As reactions continue to trail the unjust murder of 48 rice farmers in Zambari by suspected Boko Haram terrorists, Super Eagles captain has stated his displeasure over the awful incident.
The famers were killed while harvesting their crops in Zambari, a community known for rice farming in Borno.
The 28-year-old, who recently captained the national team during the double-header against Sierra Leone posted on his Instagram handle:
“The change we want has to start with us. If we truly love one another, things like this won’t be happening.
“I pray that this would be the last of its kind & we begin to experience the peace we should truly enjoy in the land.”
