Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa looks set for a return to the English Premier League as the winger is reportedly being courted by West Brom.
The Premier League side has paraded some notable names from the country’s national team like Nwankwo Kanu and Osaze Odewinge and the snapping up of Ahmed Musa could give another insight into the club’s preference for Nigerian players.
Musa had an incredible time in Russia with CSKA Moscow, where he won slew of titles in between his double spells before moving to Saudi Arabia.
The 28-year-old had struggled to make a mark at Leicester City between 2016 and 2018 where he scored only five goals from 33 appearances in all competitions.
However, he is understood to have ‘unfinished business‘ in the Premier League and could be a handy addition for the Baggies on a short-term deal.
The Nigerian can play on either wing or lead the line and has averaged a goal or an assist in every 163 minutes during the course of his career.
Musa was released by Al-Nassr in November last year and he could sign the Baggies for the season, provided he receives a UK work permit and passes his medical scheduled on Wednesday.
Do you see Ahmed Musa having a successful second spell in the English Premier League?
