Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has gone through a successful surgery on his left arm.
The Nigerian international sustained an injury in a league game while playing for his new club Sivasspor few days ago.
The injury subsequently ruled him out of the two-legged friendly matches between Nigeria and Algeria.
Algeria won the last game on Tuesday night courtesy of goals from Riyad Mahrez with a 41st-minute penalty to draw the tie level heading into the break, before Youcef Atal’s long-range strike on the hour mark, after Terem Moffi had opened the scoring early in the game.
Talking about Musa’s injury, Turkish club Sivasspor revealed, “Our football player Ahmed Musa was operated on at Acıbadem Kayseri Hospital after the injury he suffered during the Toto Super Lig Ankaragücü match.
“His left forearm which he fractured, has been operated on at the Acıbadem Kayseri Hospital Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialists.
“The surgery was carried out by a team consisting of Prof. Dr Sinan Karaoglu, Dr Bertan Cengiz and Dr Mehmet Sergeant.”
