Nigerian table tennis star Aruna Quadri has been eliminated from the WTT Star Contender Doha in Qatar.

Quadri advanced to the quarter-finals of the 2025 WTT Doha Contender after a narrow victory over Britain’s Liam Pritchard.

However, in the semi-finals, he faced a tough challenge againast Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto in a one-sided match.

Quadri suffered a straight-sets defeat, losing 11-9, 11-3, 11-5, thereby missing the chance to reach the final.

The table tennis sensation will now turn his focus to other continental and global engagements for the year.
