Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has dismissed rumours about Antonio Rudiger causing unrest among the players.
The German defender was not one of Frank Lampard’s favourites and he was relegated mostly to the bench by the recently sacked manager.
However, news filtered into the media space said the 27-year-old centre-back had an altercation with his teammate Cezar Azpilicueta during their training sessions earlier this week.
But, the former Bristol City goal poacher has taken to social media to publicly debunk the rumours, adding that the player is playing a big brother role in the team.
The youngster said on his official Twitter handle: “Hearing some mad stuff about Toni Ruediger on social media today is Complete nonsense. Toni is a big bro to all of us.”
Azpilicueta also backed the forward’s claim up by posting a picture of himself and the German defender with three blue love emojis.
This is also in a bid to dispel the incorrect information making rounds on all media platforms shortly after the exit of Lampard.
Meanwhile, Rudiger has been greeted with so many criticisms from the Blues fans across social media platforms, with rumours circulating of the German being a rat within the dressing room, perhaps contributing to Lampard’s downfall.
The 27-year-old has made just eight appearances across competitions for the Blues so far this campaign with Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma highly preferred by the former manager.
