Few days after shocking Rivers United in Nigeria during the first leg quarter-final tie of the CAF Confederation Cup, Young Africans of Tanzania have been rewarded.
The reward which was given to the team in physical cash was presented by the club President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The President handed over $$4,251.74 to the players during a training session in readiness for their second leg clash in Tanzania, Heritage Times HT gathered.
The first leg of the quarter final game took place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where Congolese striker Fiston Mayele scored twice in the second half to secure a 0-2 away victory for the Tanzania side.
Ahead of their concluding leg of the CAF Confederation Cup last eight encounter, visitors Rivers United will have to do something extraordinary to make it to the semifinal of the competition.
Although, the task now before the Nigerian side seems almost impossible, a 3-0 win in Tanzania will take them to the next stage of the club competition.
On the other hand, Young African will hope to ease to semi-final of the competition following their first leg victory.
