Few weeks after hauling abusive words at referee Anthony Taylor during the Europa League final, UEFA has pronounced a four-game ban on Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho.
The incident was said to have happened on a day Italian club Roma lost Europa League final to Spanish side Sevilla in Budapest.
According to Skysports report, after the game, footage on social media showed Mourinho directing a string of expletives towards the officiating team in the car park, labelling their performance a “disgrace”.
Report also indicated that Taylor and his family were also harassed as they made their way home from the final.
Clips on social media show them being ushered out of a cafe and into a secure area by airport security after supporters hounded the referee following an ill-tempered final on Wednesday evening.
Also, some clips on Twitter show a chair and bottle being thrown in the direction of Taylor and his group.
Both Roma and Sevilla will also faced several charges over their fans’ and players’ conduct during the match.
Roma have also been banned from selling tickets to their travelling fans for one European game next season and fined 55,000 euros (£47,300) after they were charged with throwing of objects, lighting of fireworks and improper conduct of their team.
