A yet-to-be-identified girl was killed by a police bullet at the Yoruba nation rally held at Ojota Park, Lagos.
The protest planned by a Yoruba secessionist leader Sunday Igboho was held on Saturday but disrupted by security operatives.
The security officials in a bid to thwart the protest started shooting and throwing tear gas at the protesters.
It is yet to be confirmed if the stray bullet that killed the girl was fired by the police or not.
According to eye witness, the girl was killed in front of her parents shop, close to the venue of the protest.

Although self-proclaimed activist and one of the vanguards of the Yoruba Nation agitation, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as “Sunday Igboho” was not in sight, the agitators went ahead with the scheduled Saturday rally.

Singing unity songs as they marched on, the women in their numbers, stopped in front of a police vehicle for few seconds before marching ahead.
