Jose Mourinho has claimed that his side had to have won the game against Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday night.
In a game which was dominated by Liverpool saw Robert Firmino netting the winner for the Premier League Champions to ensure they move top on the log above second placed Spurs with three points.
According to the report on UK Sun, Jose Mourinho explained that he told Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp that his players deserved to win the Premier League tie.
“I told him the best team lost. He disagreed, but that’s his opinion. “By the way, if I behave on the touchline the same way he does, I have no way to stay there and I’m out one minute after.
“That’s animated or do you want me to take the table with the time from the fourth official’s hands to see what happens to me. For some reason I am different and that’s sad.”
Tottenham will be facing Leicester City in their next Premier League game and Jose Mourinho and his men will want to seek redemption in the tie.
