Three more abducted students of the Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna have escaped from their captors.
Heritage Times gathered that the escaped students were found by security operatives roaming inside the forest in Chikun Local Government Area.
According to a source who pleaded anonymity: “the students looked pale and sick, so we have to evacuate them.”
The students were kidnapped in the early hours of July 5, 2021, around 2am on the school premises along the Kaduna-Kachia Expressway, Damishi, Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The kidnappers first demanded for 10 bags of rice and beans, and later demanded for N60 million Naira from parents and the same amount from the proprietor of the school.
The first batch of 28 of the students spent 20 days in the kidnappers’ den before their release, after payment of N50 million was made to the bandits.
Thereafter, another four of the students also escaped from their captors.
