Tottenham Hostspur completed a 3-0 victory over new comers Leeds United in a highly entertaining Premier League fixture on January 2.
Jose Mourinho will heave a sigh of relief after his side now move top of the Premier League table following poor last three games.
First chance of the game for came for the visitors as early as the 4th minute with Alioski bursting into the area but his effort hit the side-netting and failed trouble Hugo Lloris at his near post.
About ten minutes later, Harry Kane fired over the bar and moments later Bergwijn hit an effort wide after getting on to a loose Leeds pass.
In the 20th minute, Bergwijn was brought down in the box from Winks’ pass and after VAR check, a penalty was awarded.
Harry Kane stepped up and fired home from the spot to put Spurs ahead, sending the keeper the wrong way.
And just before the break, Heung-Min Son doubled the lead for Jose Mourinho’s side from a moment of real class.
Hojbjerg cut out a ball, fed Kane who skipped over a tackle and played an inch-perfect curling pass to Son who finished instinctively. It was 2-0 at half-time.
It took Tottenham just five minutes into the second half as they found the back of the net yet again for their third goal of the afternoon.
Toby Alderweireld headed Son’s corner at goal and the keeper fumbled it over the line. He had fumbled Ndombele’s shot wide for the corner in the first place.
Both sides battled hard as Leeds did everything to at least pull one back, but there were no more goals at it ended at full time; Tottenham 3-0 Leeds United.
