Nigerian Actress, Tonto Dikeh has reacted to a statement by the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, denying her appointment as a peace ambassador of the commission.
The Actress in an Instagram post reacted by saying she would never lie against the commission and that though she has video proof of the event, she would respect the commission’s decision and take the fall.
“There are video proofs, but I would Rather respect the commission’s decision And take the Fall. Thanks to every Christian body that fought against this Growth.”
“My name is King Tonto Dikeh, best believe I will never lie on a human being talk more of a commission of a federation.
“I will only simply say this is life we all know what can go wrong in 1 second. But we moveeee.. coming from a place of leadership and peace I wouldn’t fight this but I will walk away with my head held high and grow above it,” she wrote.
Her response came hours after NCPC boss, Rev Yakubu Pam, in a statement said Tonto was never appointed ambassador, adding that the public should discard the report.
The statement reads: “I wish to state in categorical terms that King @tontolet paid an official courtesy visit to me as the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission on 25th February, 2021 at the corporate headquarters of the Commission in Abuja.
“As the founder of @officalthetontodikehfoundation she expressed her willingness and interest in partnering with the Commission in the area of peace building.
“However, I am suddenly inundated with claims from King Tonto Dikeh herself that she has been officially appointed as Ambassador of peace by this great Commission. This claim has gone virile in the media.”
