Nigeria Super Eagles vice captain and defender, William Troost-Ekong has now joined Italian Serie A, side Salernitana on a loan deal from Watford, an English Championship club.
This was disclosed by the Seria A club via their website on Tuesday.
The Nigerian player is already 30 years old, and will wear the number 15 jersey.
From Germany comes a report that another Super Eagles man Paul Onuachu have agreed personal terms on a deal to join Bundesliga side, Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Nigerian bulky forward will join the German club from Belgium’s Genk.
Mid-way into the current season, Onuachu has scored 14 goals in 18 games.
He will join the German side on a four-year deal with the option of another extra year but the move is currently not yet official with both teams yet to agree on the terms of the payment of the transfer fee, which is believed to be between €12 to 15 million.
He has 18 months left in his contract with Genk.
