Chelsea Manager, Thomas Tuchel has tested positive for Covid-19, the club announced
The club confirmed that the 48-year-old tested positive to the virus on Saturday afternoon.
The confirmation came few hours to the kick-off of the Blues FA Cup match with Plymouth.
“The Chelsea head coach will now follow necessary self-isolation protocols and hopes to join up with the team in Abu Dhabi later next week,” club said on its website.
The team will fly out for the Club World Cup in Qatar after this afternoon’s FA Cup clash with Plymouth Argyle.
The 2022 Club World Cup which started on Thursday, February 3, will last until Saturday, February 12, 2022.
