The Tunisia Football Federation (FTF) has elected Moez Nasri as its new president.
Nasri’s emergence followed an extraordinary general assembly, during which he secured 247 out of 438 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Mahmoud Hammami, by over 100 votes.
His election coincided with the draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which took place in Morocco on Monday night.
Tunisia, the 2004 AFCON champions, were drawn into Group C alongside Nigeria during the draw in Rabat.
The North African nation has been without a coach since the dismissal of Faouzi Benzarti following Tunisia’s shocking home loss to Comoros in October’s qualifying match for the 2025 tournament.
The immediate task before the new FTF executive will be to appoint a new manager for the country’s senior men’s national team.
