WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has stepped up his training in an anticipated blockbuster fight between him and Oleksandr Usyk on December 17, 2022.
Usyk’s second successive boxing masterclass over Anthony Joshua lit a fire under former unified heavyweight champion Fury.
And he’s training “relentlessly” for the blockbuster clash.
A source close to Fury told SunSport: “Tyson is training really, really hard. “He’s in fight mode and totally focused on Usyk.
“Ever since the Usyk vs Joshua fight ended he’s been in the gym, on the road and sparring.
“He wants to be in the best shape of his life and is working towards a contest early in 2023.
“Right now he is like a man possessed and retirement is the last thing on his mind.
“Training is where Tyson is happiest and right now he is working relentlessly.”
The proposed undisputed heavyweight title fight between Fury and Usyk is currently in the works, although the latter has claimed he wants a whopping £500million to fight the Ukrainian.
Fury will be one of the thousands of fans in attendance for the historic event.
He said in an Instagram video: “I’m really excited for the first WWE premium event live in 30 years going down at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
“Where Drew McIntyre challenges Roman Reigns for the WWE undisputed heavyweight championship, were I will be sat ringside live and exclusive to watch this great event.”
The Gypsy King doubled down on his excitement in his caption.
