Samuel Chukwueze’s Villarreal have been rewarded for beating Juventus with a match against Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-final draw announced on Friday.
Villareal reached the last 8 after dumping Juventus out by 4-1 aggregate score.
The other fixture will see European champions, Chelsea play Real Madrid.
A repeat of last season’s semi-final, there will be doubts about Chelsea’s ability to fulfill the fixture given the recent sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich.
Manchester City, meanwhile, will play Atletico Madrid after their victory in Manchester earlier this week over United. Pep Guardiola was denied by Diego Simeone’s side in this competition while manager of Bayern Munich.
Liverpool will travel to Benfica following their wins over Inter Milan and Ajax respectively.
Last year’s finalists Chelsea and Manchester City are on the same side of the draw and could meet in April’s semi-final.
