The Uefa Champions League quarter-final draws have been announced and it’s already a tale of previous finalists squaring off against each other for the semi-final berth.
Liverpool have been paired with familiar foes Real Madrid in what could be termed as a revenge mission, while Manchester City will take on Borussia Dortmund, with Pep Guardiola getting the chance to revisit Germany, having dominated the Bundesliga when he was coach of Bayern Munich.
2012 winners Chelsea will take on surprise package Porto and defending champions Bayern Munich face a re-match of the 2020 final with PSG
The Blues have kept 100 per cent record this season in the competition and are still unbeaten in all competition under new boss Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel’s men will meet either Real Madrid or Premier League rivals Liverpool in the semis if they win against 2004 champions FC Porto. However, it would do the West London club a lot good if they do not perceive their clash with the Portuguese outfit as mere walkover.
