UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has threatened to oust Chelsea, Real Madrid and Man City from the Champions League this season for endorsing the new European Super League.
The above mentioned European clubs, alongside nine others announced the formation of the Super League which will rival the Champions League and kick off in August this year.
These clubs are already in the semi-finals of the Champions League this season, and they risk being ban from the competition.
However, should the three breakaways be removed it remains to be seen how UEFA would handle the remainder of this competition as the other semi-finalist, PSG remain the only side not involved in the Super League plan.
Ceferin said in a UEFA conference: “We’re still assessing with our legal team but we will take all the sanctions that we can and we will inform you as soon we can.”
“My opinion is that as soon as possible they have to be banned from all our competitions and the players from all our competitions.”
