Vice President of the United States and Democratic presidential candidate, Kamala Harris has made public, a letter from her doctor which revealed that she is in “excellent health” and “possesses the physical and mental resiliency” required to serve as president.
Harris made her medical information public on Saturday, apparently to draw a contrast with Republican candidate Donald Trump, who has released a little information about his health over the years.
This also includes the real condition of his ear, after it was grazed by a bullet during an assassination attempt in July at a campaign ground.
Dr. Joshua Simmons, a US Army colonel and physician to the vice president, wrote that Harris, 59, maintains a healthy, active lifestyle, and that her most recent physical last April was “unremarkable.”
This comes three weeks to the highly anticipated US election for which both candidates have had heated verbal exchange in efforts to mobilize votes.
The report concludes that Harris “possesses the physical and mental resiliency required to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency.
Trump, 78, eagerly questioned President Joe Biden’s health when the 81-year-old president sought reelection.
Since Biden was replaced on the ticket with Harris, who is 59, Trump’s health has drawn more attention.
