Oleksandr Usyk early Sunday morning defeated arch rival Tyson Fury by split decision to emerge the undisputed heavyweight champion in the boxing era.
He edged furious Fury 115-112, 113-114, 114-113 on the cards in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
At the start of the fight, Fury had appeared dialled into the best form for some time.

However, the outcome of the fight meant Fury, 35, lost for the first time in a 16-year professional career.
But then, he will get an immediate opportunity for revenge with a rematch planned for later this year.
Usyk takes the WBC belt from Fury, to add to his WBA, WBO and IBF collection.
Shortly after the bout, Fury insisted he believed he won, despite the split technical decision by the umpire.
