A crowd of people attempting to loot the Arts and Culture Centre in Garki, Abuja have been dispersed by security agents.
A circulating video that has now gone viral captures the crowd threatening to invade the centre which they claimed houses COVID-19 palliatives for the Federal Capital Territory.
Gunshots were fired while the crowd were threatening to go through the back door if the entrance was not opened.
The attempted looting at Garki is coming amidst series of chaos and destruction occurring in many parts of the country.
It is worthwhile to note that looting of warehouses housing covid-19 palliatives first began in Lagos following the shootings that occurred at the Lekki Toll Gate area of the state.
The trend later spread to states that include Kwara, Cross River, Ondo, Osun, Jos among others.
