Meanwhile, the Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) has unveiled the logo for the 2023 Volleyball African Cup of Nations scheduled for Cameroon.
Cameroon was given the right to host the African Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship in April.
The logo was unveiled by the president of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY), Bello Bourdanne, who expressed his excitement over the hosting right.
“The preparation machine for this prestigious event is already in motion. Aware that August is tomorrow, Fécavolley is happy with the arrangements made by the government which, gradually, lets us understand four months before the event, that Cameroon is waiting for a party that we want to be beautiful in every way,“ he said.
The championship is slated for August 6 to 18, 2023, at the Yaoundé Multipurpose Sports Center and Nigeria is expected to be among the participating countries.
The emergence of Engr. Musa Nimrod as the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation few years ago has pioneered the revolution of the game in the country with the discovery of many talents, some of who now play in foreign clubs.
