The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the semi-final of the 2022 WAFU Zone B tournament in Niger Republic, after they played out a 2-2 draw against Burkina Faso in their second Group B game on Wednesday.
Ibrahim Muhammad and Ibrahim Yahaya were on target for Nigeria in the encounter.
The Flying Eagles took the lead in the 24th minute of the game through Muhammad.
Burkina Faso fought back to level things up, but Yahaya put Nigeria back infront from the penalty spot in the 69th minute. Once again Burkina Faso equalized to make it 2-2.
Nigeria have recorded four points from two games, having defeated Ghana 2-0 in their opening game on Sunday.
The four points is enough for the Ladan Bosso-led team to book a place in the semi-final of the competition.
The tournament will serve as the qualifier for the Africa U-20 Nations Cup in Egypt in 2023.
The two finalists from the WAFU Zone B tournament will qualify for the U-20 Nations Cup.
