The Golden Eaglets of Nigeria will now face Burkina Faso in the final of the 2022 West African Football Union (WAFU) age-grade tournament.
The Golden Eaglets have won all three game played at ongoing the WAFU-17 Cup, including a 4-2 victory over Ghana in the opening game of the tournament.
The latest triumph was a comeback 3-1 victory against the Junior Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
The result at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in Ghana meant that the Golden Eaglets proceeded to final.
Meanwhile, the Black Starlets failed to set up a rematch with Nigeria in the final which would have given them a chance to get their revenge.
It was Ousmane Camara’s goal from the penalty spot that proved decisive as Burkina Faso knocked out the Black Starlets of Ghana.
