Super Eagles Head Coach, Jose Peseiro, has admitted that his team will have to labour hard to earn maximum points against Sao Tome and Principe.
Nigeria will take on Sao Tome on Monday for the matchday 2 of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Morocco.
The Falcons will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways against Nigeria after they suffered a humiliating 5-1 defeat to Guinea Bissau in their first match while Super Eagles will want to continue their impressive performance.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Peseiro revealed that he and the technical crew have been watching the video of their opponent as they hope to be at their best when both nations trade tackle on Monday.
“We need to be at our best to beat them. We have to show strong desire and determination.
“We don’t think about 1-0, 2-0 or 5-0 we want to win, we want to score, we want to play well and we don’t want to concede a goal.
“Sao Tome have good players in their team. We saw their last game, even though they lost, but didn’t do too badly.
“We respect them. It’s good to respect your opponent in football,” he said.
